AIMS & OBJECTIVES The overall objective of the ACCESS project is to improve accessibility, ensure learning conditions and foster policy change towards inclusion for students with disabilities within the context of Higher Education in Costa Rica, Cuba and Dominican Republic via modern inclusion practices, training and networking. The specific objectives are: To create a modern inclusive framework through the creation of Support Centers for students with disabilities, long-term strategies for the access and retention of these students in HE system and equip them with assistive technologies in order to enhances services provision for the consortium institutions. To establish a National Network in each partner country and an overarching Regional Network to consolidate political interest for inclusion policies at HE level. By doing that, ACCESS will increase inter-institutional relations, sharing of best practices, awareness raising and policy coordination at national and regional level, while responding to society’s demand for inclusion and equity.
